Since the founding of the Sotheby’s auction house in 1744, the Sotheby’s name has become renowned for handling the sale of many of the world’s most valuable and prestigious possessions. Sotheby’s International Realty was founded on the same reputation in 1976. It also benefits from a shared position of attracting the world’s wealthiest individuals, who appreciate, art, antiques, jewellery, and other collectibles of which property plays a key part.
In the UK, Sotheby’s International Realty sells and lets homes across London and the rest of the country. Established in 1998, the company has a number of experienced specialists in all divisions, including residential sales, lettings, development sales, investment and international sales.
Sotheby’s International Realty turned to Konstructive to refresh their website and take over the management of their MODX web Content Management System (CMS). The new design needed to be clean and elegant, maximising the visual impact for the properties. Clear calls to action (CTA) were defined throughout the site to drive conversion and to improve the flow through the site. The user interface (UI) was improved to make it quicker to navigate around the site. The view for mobile devices was optimised to provide richer imagery.
The new designs were developed and implemented in 3 weeks. Despite this tight deadline, care was taken to add finesse and polish to the site with a lot of interactivity and sophistication; perfect to showcase a range of extraordinary homes.
